Leather office chairs are chosen for their luxurious material and the comfort that they afford. They are available in a variety of colors and styles. Many leather office chairs offer special features that employ proper office ergonomics. They offer adequate lumbar support, comfortable seating, and the ability to swivel. Many offer pneumatic lift and height adjustment to ensure that they are a proper fit for a variety of individual body types.
Leather Upholstery. Things like dirt and grime do not only stick to regular upholstery, but leather upholstery as well. To clean leather upholstery the process is just a tad bit different. A vacuum will still be used initially but after you vacuum your leather upholstery you will want to then wipe with a slightly dampened cloth. Once dry, some type of leather cream or saddle soap even should be used to treat the office chair. However, don’t forget to do a spot check with whatever soap you use so that you do not ruin your office chair. This process should be repeated once every six months in order to keep the life of your chair at its max.
Are your knees below your hips? When seated with your feet resting on the floor, you want to ensure your knees are below your hips. This is especially critical on heavy use chairs to ensure you maintain proper circulation below the knee. As a general rule, the angle formed by your torso and thighs should be between 90 and 105 degrees. Is the chair rounded at the front? A rounded front also helps to maintain proper circulation in your legs. How’s the back? Make sure the back rest feels comfortable. Lumbar support systems vary, so make sure the fit is good.
However, the ultimate luxury in office chairs is almost always a leather office chair. Leather office chairs are available for purchase through a large number of dealers. They can be purchased "standard" for under a hundred dollars, or can even be custom designed for as much as a few thousand dollars. Leather office chairs are frequently found in the offices of upper management and executives. They are also common items in executive conference and meeting rooms.
