The kneehole desk was developed in England in the early 18th century. Its top was supported by two banks of cupboards, or drawers, separated by a space for the legs of the person seated at the desk. Larger versions—known as library tables or partners’ desks—enabled two people to work facing each other. School desks, popular since early Victorian times, developed from the portable and lectern desks and were modified to fit current educational theories.
Cedar is popular as a wood that has instinctive good appearance, a very pleasing smell, and remain a sturdy and superior base for any kind of office decoration. The smell does dwindle over the time; however the quality wood creating behind these desks along with the instinctive beauty of the manufacturing materials still make this design and make an excellent choice for office writing desk. While a real cedar desk, as contrary to a cedar finish, it needs a few more management; it is well value the exerted effort particularly when some well designed desks can last for decades or even more years.
